BiRD (Bioinformatics facility)
BiRD core facility involves research labs in Biology, Health, and Digital sciences. BiRD supports life scientists in managing, integrating, analyzing and modeling experimental data by providing :
- a large scale storage and computing infrastructure by sharing its resources with the regional computing center GLiCID
- computational tools and workflows.
Standardized workflows for primary analysis are developed in collaboration with GenoA core facility.
By also developing a bioinformatics training offer, BiRD empowers life scientists to tackle the challenges of massively produced life science data.
BiRD is involved in the following networks:
- IFB (Institut Français de Bioinformatique), the national research infrastructure for bioinformatics
- Biogenouest the regional network
- IBISA, the national network of life science research infrastructures
- Structure Fédérative de Recherche F. Bonamy
